Murrell takes the handoff, cuts left, and it's 45 yards to the house. Touchdown, Owls. The kick fails, so it's 6 to 0. We answer with a punt. They drive, and we hold them on downs. Then we punt again. Then we get a break. Collins fumbles. Cummings forces it, Cummings recovers it. We have the ball. We need something here. We punt. And then it unravels. Morgan bursts through the middle for 60 yards. Touchdown. The two-point try fails, so it's 12 to 0. Then Collins sneaks in from 3 yards out. The kick is good. It's 19 to 0 before the first quarter even ends. We can't get anything going. We punt again.
Second Quarter: The Ground Shifts
We start the second quarter pinned at our own 4-yard line after their punt. We fight for eight plays, but we can't move it. We punt. They take over. Murrell again. 17 yards up the middle. Touchdown. 26 to 0. We punt again. Then Collins breaks loose for 24 yards. Touchdown. 33 to 0. We need a spark. Montgomery takes the handoff, gains 6 yards to the 31, and then... the ball comes out. Kelly forces it, Kelly recovers it. Turnover. They take over at our 31. Woods III punches it in from 1 yard out. 40 to 0. We get the ball back, run two plays, and the half ends. We're down 40. We punt to open the third.
Third Quarter: The Long Road Back
We're down 40, and we need something, anything. Kennesaw State takes over and methodically marches. Collins finds Gary for 9 yards. Touchdown. 47 to 0. The extra point is good. We get the ball back and punt. They get the ball back and drive, but we hold them on downs. We get the ball back, and we can't convert. We punt. The kick is muffed, but they recover it. They drive, and we force a punt. We're still in this game, at least in the sense that we're still playing it. But the clock is ticking.
Fourth Quarter: Fighting to the End
Down 47, we get the ball at our own 6. We punt. They take over. And then, finally, a moment. Williams drops back, throws, and Wilson steps in front of it. Interception. Wilson returns it 27 yards to the 45. We have the ball. FitzGerald drops back, finds Daniel for 2 yards. But it's not enough. Turnover on downs. They take over and drive. We hold them, force a punt. We get the ball back at our own 3. Washington takes the handoff, gains 4 yards to the 50. And that's where it ends. Final: 47 to 0. We take the loss tonight, Wolves fans. It's a tough one. We'll be back.

Forty-five yards. Touchdown. The kick is no good, but we're on the board. 0 to 6. West Georgia answers with a punt. We get it back, drive eight plays, and then Collins gets stopped on fourth down. Turnover on downs. A wasted chance, but the defense holds. Then Morgan takes it up the middle. Sixty yards. Touchdown. The two-point try fails, but it's 0 to 12. And we're not done. Collins keeps it himself, three yards, and he's in. This time the kick is good. 0 to 19, and the quarter ends with West Georgia punting again.
The Floodgates Open
Second quarter starts with a punt from us. Then another from them. Then Murrell again, up the middle, 17 yards, and he's in. Kick is good. 0 to 26. West Georgia can't get anything going. Another punt. Collins takes it left, 24 yards, and he's in. Kick good. 0 to 33. Then the defense gets in on the act. Montgomery fumbles, Kelly recovers at the West Georgia 31. Six plays later, Woods III punches it in from a yard out. Kick good. 0 to 40. The half ends with West Georgia just trying to get to the locker room. They punt to start the third. We're up 40.
The Exclamation Point
Third quarter, and we're still hungry. Nine plays, and Collins finds Gary in the end zone from nine yards out. Kick good. 0 to 47. West Georgia punts again. We drive, but it stalls. We punt it back. They muff the punt, but recover it themselves. Then we punt again. The third quarter ends with us still up 47.
Running Out The Clock
Fourth quarter is all about closing it out. West Georgia punts. We get the ball back, and Williams throws a pick. Wilson returns it 27 yards. But our defense holds, and they turn it over on downs. We punt. They get one last drive, but the clock runs out. 47 to 0. A shutout. A statement. The Owls are flying.
