Brown throws deep right, Murray Jr. catches it at the six, and it is a touchdown. Seven-zero, them. We answer with eight plays, but we punt again. Then they march. Eleven plays, and McCrary Jr. runs it in from eight yards out. Fourteen-zero, them, as the quarter ends.

The Middle: We Answer, Then They Run

We start the second quarter with the ball. Nine plays, and we punt again. They take over and grind out twelve plays. Wiggins punches it in from two yards out. Twenty-one-zero. Then, finally, a spark. White drops back, and he finds Rucker short middle. Rucker catches it at their 46, and he is gone. Sixty-one yards. Touchdown. We are on the board, 21 to 7. But they answer right back. Murray Jr. runs it in from 14 yards out. Twenty-eight-seven. We punt again. Then, with 19 seconds left in the half, Brown finds Miller for eight yards. Touchdown. Thirty-five-seven. We get the ball back with three seconds. White gets sacked, and the half ends. But the quarter does not. They get the ball to start the second half, and Pereira runs it in from 17 yards out. Forty-two-seven.

The Break: It Gets Away

We get the ball to start the third, and we try to answer. Six plays, and then the punt is blocked. They recover at our eight. Six plays later, they settle for a field goal from 26 yards. Forty-five-seven. We punt again. Then Hart breaks one. Forty-one yards up the middle. Touchdown. Fifty-two-seven. We punt again. They keep coming. Pereira hits Wiggins for 11, and then Butler runs it in from 20 yards out. Fifty-nine-seven. But we do not quit. We put together a 15-play drive. We chew the clock. And Holland hits a 39-yard field goal. Ten-fifty-nine.

The Finish: Playing It Out

They punt. We punt. They get the ball back with 3:35 left, and they kneel it out. The final is 59 to 10. A tough one, Aggie Nation. We fought, we got on the board, but tonight belonged to Georgia State. We go again next week.

Page punts, Riles brings it back just one yard. We take over at our own 19. Our first drive goes nowhere. Seven plays, and Teeter pins them deep with a 55-yard punt to the nine. They go four plays and punt again. This time Riles makes something happen. A 26-yard return all the way to the North Carolina A&T 30. That flips the field, and we feel it. One play. That is all it takes. No Huddle-Shotgun, Brown drops back, and he finds Murray Jr. deep right. Caught at the six, and he is gone. Thirty yards. Touchdown. Layous adds the kick, and we lead 7 to 0. They answer with a drive, but it dies. Another punt, fair catch at our 10. We take over with under five to play in the quarter, and we grind. Eleven plays. We chew the clock. And at the horn, Lanear McCrary Jr. punches it in from eight yards out. Layous kicks it through. 14 to 0 after one.

The Floodgates Open

They punt again to open the second. We take over at our 30 and go to work. Twelve plays. Wiggins takes it up the middle from two yards out. Touchdown. 21 to 0. Then they answer. White finds Rucker over the middle, and he takes it 61 yards to the house. Just like that, 21 to 7. We do not blink. Murray Jr. takes a handoff and goes 14 yards up the middle. Touchdown. 28 to 7. They punt. We get the ball back with 1:25 left. Seven plays, and Brown hits Miller short left from eight yards out. Touchdown. 35 to 7. They get the ball back with three seconds left. White drops back, and Rhodes-Nelson gets home. Sacked for a loss of 11. Turnover. We take over with no time on the clock. The quarter ends, but the drive continues. And on the first play of the third, Pereira takes it right, 17 yards. Touchdown. 42 to 7.

The Rout Is On

They try to answer. Six plays, and then Mittman blocks the punt. Nelson recovers at the North Carolina A&T eight. We take over in prime position. Six plays, and Layous drills a 26-yard field goal. 45 to 7. They punt again. We take over at midfield. Two plays. Hart takes it up the middle, 41 yards. Touchdown. 52 to 7. They punt again. We take over, and Pereira finds Wiggins for 11 yards to move the chains. Then Butler takes it up the middle, 20 yards. Touchdown. 59 to 7.
