Innings 1-3

Top of the first, score tied at nothing. Two outs, bases empty, and Riley Greene steps in. He gets a pitch he likes, and he doesn't miss it. Greene sends a fly ball to center field, and it just keeps carrying. It's gone. Home run. The Tigers strike first, and we're up one to nothing. That's how you start a ballgame. Bottom of the first, the Guardians come up. Four batters, no runs. We hold them right there. Score stays one to nothing, and we're feeling good. Top of the second, and Ben Malgeri leads things off. No outs, bases empty, and he rips a sharp line drive to right field. Angel Martínez can't get to it. Malgeri's on first with a single. That's a spark. That's the kind of at-bat that gets a rally going. We've got a runner on, and the energy is shifting our way. Bottom of the second, and the Guardians answer. Score stays one to nothing. Top of the third, and we're looking to add on. No outs, a runner on, and Hao-Yu Lee draws a walk. Gleyber Torres moves to second. Now we've got two on, nobody out, and the bats are alive. We push one across this inning. Score's two to nothing now, and we're building. Bottom of the third, three batters, no runs. We shut them down again. Two to nothing after three, and we're in control.

Innings 4-6

Top of the fourth, three batters, no runs. We don't add on, but we don't give anything back either. Score stays two to nothing.

And he does it again. A fly ball to left center field, and it's out of here. Greene's second home run of the game. Score's three to nothing, and we're roaring. That man is on fire.
