He lines one out to left field, and Tyrone Taylor is chasing it, but it's out of reach. Marsee's on first with a single, and the Marlins have their first baserunner. Then Joe Mack comes up, and he grounds one to second. Pedro Ramírez fields it, fires to Michael Busch at first, and we get the out. But Marsee's already moving, and he scores. Innings 1-3

The energy in the ballpark shifts. Joe Mack steps to the plate, and he hits a ground ball to second. It's a routine play, but it's a productive one. Pedro Ramírez fields it, fires to first, and Marsee crosses the plate. The throw goes through, and Heriberto Hernández advances to third. The Marlins are on the board, and the place erupts. Now it's Otto Lopez's turn. With one out and a runner on third, he doesn't have to do anything fancy. He just needs to make contact. And he does. From a 3 to 3 tie to a 10 to 3 blowout, this team showed what it's capable of when the bats get hot.
