Now we've got runners in scoring position, and the pressure is on. Then, with one out and the bases loaded, Elly De La Cruz hits a ground ball. It's a fielder's choice, and Matt McLain comes in to score. Juan Brito moves to third, Dane Myers to second, and there's a throwing error by David Hamilton at third base. That's two to nothing now, and the bases are still loaded. The next batter, Sal Stewart, hits a sacrifice fly to right field, and Sal Frelick makes the catch. Juan Brito tags up and scores, and it's three to nothing. We're digging ourselves a hole here, but we've seen this team come back before. That ball is gone. A two-run homer, and Jackson Chourio scores ahead of him. It's four to two, and we're back in this ballgame. The dugout is alive, the crowd is quiet, and we've got momentum. Then, with one out and two on, Cooper Pratt lays down a sacrifice bunt. Garrett Mitchell scores from third, and there's a throwing error by Brady Singer. Pratt ends up at second, and it's four to three. We're one run away, and we've got the Reds on their heels. Bottom of the fourth, and the Reds answer back. Top of the seventh, and we get four batters up, but we can't push a run across. Score remains eight to six, and we're running out of time. Bottom of the seventh, and the Reds get five batters up, but they can't score either. We're still down by two, and we need something to happen. Top of the eighth, and we get something going. With no outs and two on, Bo Naylor steps in and singles on a line drive to left field, right at JJ Bleday. Brice Turang scores from second, and Cooper Pratt moves to second. It's eight to seven, and we're right back in it. One run down, and we've got the heart of the order coming up. Bottom of the eighth, and this is where it all falls apart.
