Mike Trout steps in, and he hits a ground ball to second. It's a double play, but here's the thing: Travis d'Arnaud scores on it. Zach Neto's out at second, Mike Trout's out at first, but the run comes home. Four-nothing. That's the second time today we've turned a double play into a run, and you'll take that every single time. Grissom is on second with a double, and the Angels have a runner in scoring position with nobody out. That is the kind of hit that can change a half-inning in a hurry. And then, no outs, a runner on, Moisés Ballesteros comes up. He lays down a soft bunt ground ball to third base, Caleb Durbin fields it, but there is no play. Ballesteros is safe, and Grissom moves over to third. Now the Angels have two on and nobody out, and you can feel the pressure building on our defense. A little small ball, a little craftiness, and suddenly they are in business. No outs, two on, Christian Moore at the plate. He hits a ground ball to second, Andruw Monasterio fields it, fires to Trevor Story at second for the first out, and Story relays to Nick Sogard at first. Double play, but Grissom scores on the exchange. The Angels get one across, Ballesteros is out at second, Moore is out at first. A leadoff double, and the Angels have a runner in scoring position with nobody out. That is exactly the kind of start you do not want to give them. No outs, two on, and Mike Trout comes up. He hits a ground ball to second, Andruw Monasterio fields it, fires to Nick Sogard at first. Double play, but Travis d'Arnaud scores on the exchange. Zach Neto is out at second, Mike Trout is out at first, and the Angels have added another. It is four to nothing now, and that double play is a tough pill to swallow. He swings, and that ball is crushed to left center field. It is gone. Travis d'Arnaud scores, Zach Neto scores, and the Angels have blown this one open.
