Pregame
It's Texas Rangers baseball, and we are on the road in Seattle. The Mariners are hosting, and we've got a good one brewing. Our boys are looking to make some noise, and the bats are feeling right. First pitch is coming up, and we're ready to go.
Innings 1-3
Top of the first, and we waste no time. One out, bases empty, and Corey Seager steps in. He gets a pitch he likes, and he does what Corey Seager does. He sends it on a fly ball to right field, and that ball is gone. Home run. Just like that, we're up one to nothing. The crowd in Seattle goes quiet, and our dugout is fired up. That's how you start a ballgame. Bottom of the first, the Mariners come up and they go down in order. Four batters, no runs. We hold the lead. Top of the second, and we're not done yet. Two outs, and there's a runner on. Nicky Lopez comes to the plate, and he finds a pitch he can handle. He singles on a fly ball to left fielder Randy Arozarena, and Wyatt Langford comes racing home. He scores, and just like that, it's two to nothing. That's the kind of two-out hitting that wins ballgames. Lopez comes through in the clutch, and we've extended our lead. Bottom of the second, Seattle sends three batters to the plate, and they get nothing. We're still up two to nothing. Top of the third, we send four batters up, but we can't push anything across. No runs, and the score stays two to nothing. Bottom of the third, the Mariners get five batters to the plate, but they can't break through either. No runs. We head to the fourth still holding that two-run lead.
The Sequence
This is where the game gets decided. This is the stretch that settles it. Top of the fourth, and we put together a rally. Two outs, and the bases are loaded. Justin Foscue steps up with a chance to blow this thing open. He takes a swing and singles on a ground ball to center fielder Julio Rodríguez. Evan Carter scores. Jake Burger scores. Nicky Lopez moves to third. Just like that, it's four to nothing. Foscue comes through in the biggest spot of the game so far, and we've got ourselves some breathing room. But Seattle answers right back. Bottom of the fourth, two outs, and they've got two runners on. Lazaro Montes steps up, and he launches one. A fly ball to center field, and it's gone. A three-run homer. Cal Raleigh scores, Cole Young scores, and just like that, it's four to three. The lead is down to one, and you can feel the momentum shifting. That was a punch, and we've got to respond. And respond we do. Top of the fifth, one out, and there's a runner on. Ezequiel Duran is on base, and Wyatt Langford steps to the plate. He gets a pitch he can drive, and he sends it on a fly ball to left center field. That ball is gone. A two-run homer. Duran scores, Langford scores, and we're back up six to three. That's how you answer. That's how you take the air right out of a ballpark. Bottom of the fifth, Seattle sends three batters up, and they get nothing. No runs. Top of the sixth, we send three batters up, and we get nothing either. No runs. Bottom of the sixth, three more Mariners, no runs. The score stays nine to three, and we're in control. This game is settled. We've got the lead, and we're not letting go.
Innings 7-9
Top of the seventh, and we're still pushing. One out, and there are two runners on. Danny Jansen comes up, and he lines one to center field. A single off Julio Rodríguez. Evan Carter scores, Nicky Lopez moves to second, and we're up ten to three. That's the kind of insurance run that puts a game away. We're not letting up. Bottom of the seventh, Seattle sends three batters up, and they go down quietly. No runs. We're still up ten to three. Top of the eighth, we send three batters up, and we can't add any more. No runs. Bottom of the eighth, the Mariners get something going. No outs, and there's a runner on. Dominic Canzone steps up and doubles on a sharp line drive to right fielder Brandon Nimmo. Randy Arozarena scores, and it's ten to four. They're chipping away, but we've still got a comfortable lead. Top of the ninth, we send three batters up, and we can't get anything across. No runs. Bottom of the ninth, Seattle makes one last push. One out, and the bases are loaded. Randy Arozarena comes up, and he hits a sacrifice fly to right fielder Brandon Nimmo. Josh Naylor scores, Cole Young moves to third, and it's ten to five. But that's all they get. That's the game.
Wrap-up
Final score, Texas ten, Seattle five. We came into their ballpark, we jumped on them early, and we never let go. Corey Seager set the tone in the first, Nicky Lopez kept it rolling, and when Seattle tried to climb back, Wyatt Langford answered with a big one. This is a win to feel good about. We took care of business on the road, and we head out of Seattle with a big one in the books. That's Rangers baseball.

Just like that, the Rangers have a one-nothing lead. The crowd groans, but we've been here before. It's early. We've got plenty of baseball left to play. One run doesn't decide a game, and our guys know it. We shake it off and get back to work.
Bot 1
We come up in the bottom of the first, looking to answer. Four batters come to the plate, but we can't push anything across. The inning ends with the score still one to nothing, Rangers. We just need to get something going on our side.
Bot 2
We come back up in the bottom of the second, and we go down in order. Three batters, three outs, no runs. The score stays two to nothing, Rangers. We're not generating much offense yet, and the frustration is starting to build. But we've got the heart of the order coming up soon. We just need one hit to spark something.
Top 3

Bot 3
Bottom of the third, and we're still looking for our first hit of the game. Five batters come to the plate, but we can't push a run across. The score stays two to nothing, Rangers. We're getting chances, but we're not cashing in. The tension is building. We need a big hit, and we need it soon.

Just like that, it's four to nothing. The air goes out of the building for a moment, but we're not done yet. Bottom of the fourth, and we finally answer. Two outs, two on. Lazaro Montes steps in, and he swings. That ball is crushed to center field. It's gone. Cal Raleigh scores. Cole Young scores. Montes rounds the bases, and the crowd erupts. It's four to three. We're right back in this thing. The momentum has shifted, and we can feel it. But then the top of the fifth. One out, a runner on. Wyatt Langford steps in, and he hits a fly ball to left center field. That ball is gone too. Ezequiel Duran scores, and just like that, it's six to three. The lead is back to three, and the wind is knocked out of us. We go down in order in the bottom of the fifth. Then the top of the sixth, we hold them. Bottom of the sixth, we go down quietly again. Nine to three, and the game is slipping away.

Wrap-up
Final score, Texas Rangers ten, Seattle Mariners five. We fought, we clawed, we got close, but it wasn't meant to be. The Rangers took this one, and it stings. But we're Mariners fans. We live and die with this team, and tonight, we die a little. But we'll be back tomorrow, ready to fight again. That's what we do.
