Top of the fourth, and we're not letting up. Two outs, bases empty, and Denzer Guzman steps in again. He's already had a big inning, but he's not finished. He gets a pitch and drives it to left center field. That ball is gone. A solo homer, and just like that, it's six to nothing. Guzman is having a night, and we're rolling. Boston comes up in the bottom of the fourth, four batters, no runs. We're still up six. Top of the fifth, three Angels, no runs. We're holding serve, but Boston is starting to find something. Bottom of the fifth, and with two outs and a runner on, Roman Anthony steps in. Jarren Duran is on first, and Anthony gets a pitch he can handle. He sends it to right field, and that ball is gone. A two-run homer, and just like that, it's six to two. The lead is still comfortable, but they're chipping away. We need to answer. Top of the sixth, four batters, no runs. We can't get anything going, and Boston is feeling it. Bottom of the sixth, no outs, bases empty, and Wilyer Abreu steps in. He doesn't waste any time. He gets a pitch and drives it to center field. That ball is out of here. A solo homer, and it's six to three. The lead is down to three, and suddenly this game feels a lot tighter than it did an hour ago.

The Stretch

We're at the break, and we're up six to three. But let's be honest, this game turned on one swing. Zach Neto's three-run homer in the top of the third. Before that, it was a pitcher's duel, zero-zero, and Boston had just escaped a jam. Then Neto stepped in with two on and one out, and he changed everything. That ball to left field broke the game open, and we never looked back. But Boston has answered. They've got two homers of their own, and they're within three. We need to hold the line. We need to keep them off the board and get back to scoring. The bats are still alive, but we've got to finish this.

The Sequence

This is where the game gets decided. Top of the seventh, and we send four batters to the plate. No runs. We're still up six to three, but we're not adding on.
