We're hanging in there, but we need a stop. Miami gets the ball back with just over a minute left in the quarter. They're not messing around. Mensah drops back, and throws a short pass to Toney, who catches it at the goal line for a 19-yard touchdown. The quarter ends, and we're looking at a 0 to 28 deficit. It's a mountain to climb, but we're Rattlers, and we don't quit.

Q2

Alright, we're down 0 to 28, and we need to find something. We get the ball to start the second quarter, but our drive is just six plays and we're punting again. We can't seem to get into any kind of rhythm. Miami takes over, and they're driving again. On second down, Mensah throws a short pass to Pringle Jr., who catches it at the Florida A&M 30 and rumbles down to the 7-yard line for a 23-yard gain. That sets up the score. A few plays later, Pringle Jr. takes a rush left for a 4-yard touchdown. The extra point is good, and it's 0 to 35. We're in a tough spot, but we have to keep fighting. We get the ball back, and again, six plays and a punt. We just can't get anything going against this defense. Miami takes over, and they're moving the ball with ease. Brown rushes up the middle for a 15-yard gain to the Florida A&M 18, and then we get hit with a costly penalty. An illegal use of hands on McKenzie moves the ball even closer, down to the 9-yard line. That's a tough break, a real momentum swing. And they make us pay for it. Darian Mensah finds Cooper Barkate for a 9-yard touchdown pass. It's 0 to 42 now. We're in the middle of a storm. We put together a nice drive, nine plays, but it ends with another punt. We're moving the ball a little better, but we can't finish. Miami gets the ball back with three minutes left, and they're driving again. With under a minute to go, Mallory takes a rush up the middle for an 11-yard touchdown. That makes it 0 to 49 at the half. We get the ball back, run a few plays, and punt it away. Miami takes a knee to end the half. It's been a rough 30 minutes, but we're going to come out in the second half and fight.

Halftime

Alright, let's take a breath. It's 0 to 49 at the half, and that's a tough one to swallow. The play that really turned things was that illegal use of hands penalty after we had made a stop. It took a third down situation and gave Miami a fresh set of downs deep in our territory, and they scored right after. It just felt like the air went out of the building after that. We need to come out in the second half with some pride, some fight. We need to show them that we're not going to roll over. We need to find a way to put some points on the board and make a statement. This game isn't over yet, not in our hearts.

Q3

We're back for the second half, and we need a spark. Miami gets the ball first, and they're at it again. On second down, Nickel throws a deep pass down the middle to Wingo, who catches it at the Florida A&M 3 and walks in for a 47-yard touchdown. It's 0 to 56. We get the ball, five plays, and we're punting again. We just can't get anything going. Miami gets the ball back, and it takes them just three plays. Nickel throws a deep pass to Jacobs, who catches it at the Florida A&M 2 and scores from 33 yards out. 0 to 63. We're getting blown out, but we have to keep our heads up. Five plays, and we're punting again. But then, something amazing happens. Miami is driving again, and they're deep in our territory. But our defense forces a fumble, and Caleb McKenzie picks it up and returns it 72 yards for a touchdown! We're on the board! Gabriel Caison's kick is good, and it's 7 to 77! We finally got one, and the sideline is going crazy! That's a big play, a huge moment for us.

Q4

Alright, we're on the board, and we're feeling a little better about ourselves. It's 7 to 77, and we're just trying to finish this game with some pride. Miami gets the ball back, and they're driving again. They get all the way down to our 11-yard line, but then they get hit with a false start penalty, moving them back to the 16. That's a momentum swing for us, a little bit of a break. They keep pushing, though. On fourth down, Coleman rushes left for a 6-yard gain down to the 2-yard line. There was a holding penalty on the play, but Miami declined it, and the result is a turnover on downs! We stopped them! Our defense held strong and got us the ball back. We take over with just under two minutes to go. We're just trying to run out the clock and get out of here. We run four plays and have to punt it away. Miami gets the ball back with under a minute to go. They run three plays, and that's the game. It's over. Final score, 7 to 77.

But we saw some fight in that fourth quarter, especially on that fumble return for a touchdown by McKenzie. That was a moment of pride. We’re up seven to nothing, and it feels like we’re just getting warmed up. Florida A&M gets the ball back, and they’re trying to find their footing, but our defense is relentless. They can’t get anything going, and they’re punting again. We take over, and it’s more of the same. Mensah drops back, scans the field, and lets it fly. A deep strike to Moore, who hauls it in and takes it all the way. Fifty-five yards, touchdown, Miami. The offense is clicking on all cylinders, and the Rattlers have no answer. We’re up fourteen to nothing, and it’s only the first quarter. Florida A&M is desperate to get something going, but they’re just not getting any traction. They try to push the ball downfield, but our defense is holding strong. They go for it on fourth down, and we stuff them. They’re not moving the ball, and we’re taking full advantage. Thirty-five to nothing, and this game is getting out of hand. The Rattlers are just trying to survive at this point. Florida A&M gets the ball back, and they’re trying to find a spark, but there’s nothing there. They punt it away, and we’re back on offense. We’re moving the ball at will, and it’s only a matter of time before we score again. Brown takes a carry up the middle, and he’s got room to run. Fifteen yards, and we’re in business. Then, Mensah hits Barkate for the touchdown. Forty-two to nothing, and this is a full-blown rout. The Rattlers are just trying to get to halftime at this point. Florida A&M is on the field again, and they’re just trying to run out the clock. They punt it away, and we’ve got one more chance to add to the lead before the half. We’re driving, and the clock is winding down. Mallory takes the handoff, finds a hole, and he’s in. Eleven yards, touchdown, Miami. Forty-nine to nothing, and that’s how we’re ending the half. Florida A&M gets the ball back, but they’re just kneeling it out. We’re up forty-nine to nothing, and this game is already decided.

The second half starts, and we’re not letting up. Florida A&M gets the ball, but they’re punting again. We take over, and it’s more of the same. Nickel drops back and finds Wingo deep down the middle. Forty-seven yards, touchdown, Miami. Fifty-six to nothing, and the Rattlers are just trying to survive. They get the ball back, but they’re punting again. We take over, and it’s another quick strike. Nickel finds Jacobs, and he takes it to the house. Sixty-three to nothing, and this is just a showcase at this point. Florida A&M is on the field, and they’re just trying to get something going. They punt it away, and we’re back on offense. Nickel is in rhythm, and he finds Spafford for another touchdown. Seventy to nothing, and the Rattlers are just trying to get off the field. They get the ball back, but they’re punting again. We take over, and it’s another quick score. Seventy-seven to nothing, and this game is a complete blowout. Florida A&M gets the ball back, and they’re just trying to run out the clock. But then, something happens. They fumble the ball, and McKenzie picks it up. He’s off to the races, seventy-two yards, and he’s in for the touchdown. But wait, that’s a defensive touchdown for Florida A&M. They get the score, and it’s seventy-seven to seven. The Rattlers finally get on the board, but it’s way too little, way too late. This game is still ours.

The fourth quarter starts, and we’re just trying to run out the clock. We’re driving, but we get a false start that pushes us back. We’re still moving the ball, but we end up turning it over on downs. Florida A&M gets the ball, but they’re punting again. We take over, and we’re just running out the clock. The game ends, and it’s a final score of seventy-seven to seven. We win by seventy, and it’s a complete domination from start to finish.
