The Stretch

Let's take a breath here. We're down five to two, and the game has turned on a few key moments. That double by Joshua Báez in the fifth was the backbreaker. We had a chance to hold them, and he came through for them. We've had our chances, but we haven't been able to string anything together. We need a rally. Final score, three to seven. The Cardinals take this one. It's a tough loss, no doubt about it. We had our moments, especially Chase Meidroth with those two homers. But we couldn't string together enough offense, and they kept answering every time we scored. We're heading home, and we've got to regroup. This one stings, but we'll be back.
