Edmundo Sosa moves to third, Bryan De La Cruz to second. The Braves are in trouble now. And then Derek Hill steps to the plate. Two outs, bases loaded, and the whole stadium is holding its breath. Hill swings, and he drives a sharp line drive to center field, right at Michael Harris II. But Harris can't get there. That ball is in the gap. Sosa scores. De La Cruz scores. Realmuto scores. It's a bases-clearing double, and the Phillies have flipped this game completely. Three runs cross the plate, and we're up three to one. The Braves get their chance in the bottom of the second, but five batters come up and nothing happens. No runs. We hold the lead. In the top of the third, the Phillies go down in order, three batters, no runs. And in the bottom of the third, the Braves threaten a little. With one out and nobody on, Ronald Acuña Jr. doubles on a line drive to right field, right at Bryce Harper. A notable hit, and the Braves have a runner in scoring position. They keep pushing. With two outs and two on, Mauricio Dubón steps in. He swings, and he lines out to right field, right into the glove of Bryce Harper. That's the momentum swing we needed. The inning ends, the Braves come up empty, and we head to the fourth still holding a three to one lead.
Innings 4-6
The middle innings settle in, and both teams start to lock it down. In the top of the fourth, the Phillies go down in order. Three batters, no runs. The Braves get their turn in the bottom of the fourth, and four batters come up, but they can't push anything across. No runs. Top of the fifth, same story. Three batters for the Phillies, no runs. Bottom of the fifth, the Braves get three batters of their own, and they come up empty too. We're still up three to one, and the game is tightening up. In the top of the sixth, the Phillies get a little more life. Four batters come up, but the inning ends with no runs. And in the bottom of the sixth, the Braves go down in order. Three batters, no runs. We're heading into the later innings, and we still hold that two-run lead.
The Stretch
Let's take a breath here. We're at the break, and the Phillies are up three to one. The play that turned this half around was Derek Hill's bases-clearing double in the top of the second. Two outs, bases loaded, and Hill came through in a huge way. That one swing flipped the game, and we've been holding on ever since. The pitching has been solid, the defense has made the plays when it mattered, and we've got a lead to protect. But the Braves are never out of it, and we need to keep the pressure on. We need to keep scoring, keep the defense sharp, and close this one out.
Innings 7-9
We're into the seventh now, and the Phillies come up looking to add on. Three batters, no runs. The lead stays at three to one. But the Braves answer in the bottom of the seventh. With nobody out and nobody on, Austin Riley steps in. He swings, and he sends a fly ball deep to left center field. That ball is gone. A solo homer, and the Braves cut the lead to one. It's three to two now, and the tension is rising. And they're not done. With nobody out and nobody on, Mike Yastrzemski singles on a fly ball to left field, right at Bryan De La Cruz. A momentum swing, and the Braves have a runner on with no outs. They're threatening to tie this game. But the Phillies bear down. The next three batters come up, and the inning ends. No more runs. We escape with the lead intact. Top of the eighth, the Phillies go down in order. Three batters, no runs. Bottom of the eighth, the Braves get four batters, but they can't push anything across. No runs. We're heading to the ninth, still up three to two, and every pitch matters now.
The Sequence
This is where the game gets decided. Top of the ninth, the Phillies come up looking to add an insurance run. Four batters, but no runs. We leave it at three to two, and now it's on the defense. Bottom of the ninth, the Braves come up. With one out and a runner on, Sean Murphy steps in. He swings, and he hits a ground ball to center field, right at Derek Hill. The runner, DaShawn Keirsey Jr., scores. The game is tied at three to three. But there's a fielding error by Derek Hill, and Murphy moves to second. A costly mistake, and the Braves have a runner in scoring position with one out. But the Phillies get out of it. No more runs. We're going to extras. Top of the tenth, the Phillies get a chance. With nobody out and nobody on, Justin Crawford steps in. He swings, and he singles on a line drive to center field, right at Michael Harris II. And Bryson Stott scores. The Phillies take the lead, four to three. We're back on top. But the Braves answer in the bottom of the tenth. With one out and a runner on, Mauricio Dubón steps in. He hits a sacrifice fly to center field, right at Justin Crawford. Brewer Hicklen scores, and the game is tied again, four to four. We're heading to the eleventh. Top of the eleventh, the Phillies come up. With one out and two on, Luis Arraez steps in. He swings, and he singles on a line drive to left field, right at Mauricio Dubón. Garrett Stubbs scores, and Bryce Harper moves to second. The Phillies take the lead, five to four. We're one inning away. Bottom of the eleventh, the Braves come up. With two outs and a runner on, Ha-Seong Kim steps in. He swings, and he singles on a line drive to left field, right at Brandon Marsh. Ozzie Albies scores, and the game is tied again, five to five. The Braves have the momentum now, and they're not done. The next batter comes up, and the Braves push another run across. The game ends, five to six.
Wrap-up
Final score, Phillies five, Braves six. It hurts. We had the lead, we fought, we came back, and we lost it in the eleventh. A heartbreaker, plain and simple. The Phillies gave everything they had, but it wasn't enough tonight. We'll get them tomorrow.

Innings 4-6
The middle innings are here, and we're in a bit of a lull. The Phillies send three batters to the plate in the top of the fourth, and they go down in order. We come up in the bottom of the fourth, and we send four batters to the plate, but we can't get anything going. Score remains three to one. The Stretch
So here we are at the stretch, and it's been a frustrating few innings. We had that early lead, and then Derek Hill's three run double in the top of the second just flipped everything. That was the play that turned this game. We've had our chances, but we haven't been able to cash in. Ronald Acuña Jr. got that double in the third, but we couldn't bring him home. We're down by two, and we need to find a way to get to this Phillies pitching. The bats need to wake up, and they need to wake up now. We've got six innings left, and we're running out of time.

We come up in the bottom of the eighth, and we send four batters to the plate, but we can't get anything going. We're heading to the ninth, down by one. Three to two, and we need a rally.

Wrap-up
What a game. What an absolute game. We were down, we were out, and we just kept fighting. We tied it up in the ninth, we tied it up in the tenth, and we walked it off in the eleventh. The Phillies came in here and gave us everything they had, but we never quit. This is a win we're going to remember. This is a win that shows what this team is made of. Braves win, six to five.
